The first day of our Medical Clinic has arrived. There is a sense of anticipation, yet calmness knowing that God is with us wherever we go. (Joshua 1:7-9–Our team devotion for today.) God provided all we needed for this day and so much more. Here are a few of the things that I am grateful to God because He provided:
–a building to hold the clinic that kept us dry during the morning rain and ceiling fans to cool us when the hot sun came out.
–tents, with fans to cool the intake area, the community that came to receive health care, and the prayer team.
–national translators that were flexible and so helpful, with a number of them having medical background.
–pastors from the area to begin relationships with their people and to follow up with them.
–a team that worked together in unity and modeled the collaborative method.
–people to treat: 132 in medical clinic, 34 in dental clinic, and 34 in the optical clinic.
–121 prayed to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior
–health, safety, energy, and resilience for each one of us.
It was a great day that the Lord made! Thank you all for your prayers, we are experiencing the goodness of God.
